Discover the World Appointed as Sales Representative for Alaska Airlines in Europe
Posted: Feb 23, 2026
Discover the World is pleased to announce its appointment as the sales representation partner for Alaska Airlines across European markets. Under this agreement, Discover the World will support Alaska Airlines’ expansion into Europe by promoting its service offerings, facilitating commercial development, and building strong relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and industry partners.
Through this partnership, Discover the World will leverage Alaska Airlines’ modern fleet, extensive route network, and tiered cabin classes to increase the airline’s visibility in European markets, generate bookings, and strengthen its presence through local trade engagement and market expertise.
Starting in spring 2026, Alaska Airlines will launch its inaugural service to Europe with nonstop flights linking Seattle to London Heathrow (LHR), Rome Fiumicino (FCO), and Reykjavik Keflavik (KEF). The first departure from Europe to Seattle will operate from Rome on April 29, 2026, followed by London on May 22, 2026, and Reykjavik on May 29, 2026. London Heathrow will operate year‑round, while Rome and Reykjavik will be offered as seasonal services.
Speaking on this milestone, Ian Murray, CEO of Discover the World, said: “We are delighted to partner with Alaska Airlines and honoured by the trust they have placed in us to represent them across Europe. With our deep market knowledge and award-winning sales approach, we look forward to promoting Alaska Airlines’ modern aircraft, premium cabins, and robust route network, helping to expand their market presence and drive growth across the region.
Aiden Walsh, Global Head of Business Development at Discover the World, added: “This partnership marks an exciting opportunity to introduce Alaska Airlines’ high-quality service to European travellers and trade partners. By leveraging our established relationships and commercial expertise, we aim to enhance the airline’s visibility, support new bookings, and contribute to their expansion strategy in Europe.”
“Europe is an important and growing market for Alaska Airlines, and Discover the World brings invaluable local expertise and regional insight as we expand,” said Alex Judson, managing director of partnerships and international at Alaska Airlines. “Together with Discover the World, we will strengthen relationships across the leisure and corporate travel landscape and elevate awareness of Alaska Airlines as a strong, competitive option for European travelers.”
