Discover the World Joins the Business Travel Association (BTA) — Strengthening Global Connections and Expanding Opportunities

Posted: Sep 17, 2025

Discover the World, a leader in global travel representation with over 40 years of experience, is proud to announce it has officially joined the Business Travel Association (BTA)—becoming the first global sales representation company to do so.

With a presence in over 80 markets and a portfolio of more than 100 travel clients worldwide, Discover the World is trusted by some of the biggest names in travel to deliver measurable results. Through this new partnership, Discover the World gains direct access to BTA’s valuable network of travel management companies (TMCs), corporate travel professionals, and key industry stakeholders—further enhancing its ability to deliver insights, build relationships, and open new doors for collaboration across international markets.

For TMCs, this partnership means timely access to the right product information, backed by Discover the World’s modern sales approach—combining data-driven insights, digital tools, and strong in-country expertise. By connecting global brands with the TMC community, Discover the World helps transform awareness into tangible results, ensuring TMCs can deliver exceptional value to their corporate clients.

Our global trade network will play an active role in supporting BTA’s mission while helping expand their presence in new regions. At the same time, we’ll leverage this partnership to strengthen our own connections, share insights, and create new opportunities for clients and partners across the corporate travel sector.

Ian Murray, CEO at Discover the World, remarked, “We are proud to be the first global sales representation company to join the Business Travel Association. This milestone reflects our long-term commitment to the business travel sector and our belief in the power of strategic partnerships. We look forward to working closely with the BTA to drive innovation, create value for our clients, and strengthen global connectivity.”

Terry Smith, Head of Global Client Sales at Discover the World, mentioned, “Joining BTA marks an exciting step forward for our commercial team. With access to an expansive network of corporate travel leaders, we’re better positioned than ever to represent our partners and explore fresh business travel opportunities across new and existing markets.”

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, added ‘’Partnering with Discover the World marks a major step forward for the BTA. As our first global sales representation partner, we look forward to helping them broaden their reach, knowledge and relationships. Together, we’ll connect the TMCs we represent with world-class brands, unlock new opportunities, and equip our members with the tools they need to thrive on a global stage."
