Discover the World has appointed Germano Rollero as Asia New Business Development & Engagement Manager

Germano is located in Beijing and from there he will design, plan and execute strategies to target new business across the Asia region covering air, cruise, hospitality, tourist boards and partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of New Business Development, he will influence strategy and build a path for future client growth across our network of sales offices.

Aiden Walsh, Discover the World’s head of airline development, said: “We are delighted Germano has joined our Asia team. Germano has extensive knowledge of the global travel industry, especially of Asia, and I am sure will be a great ambassador for Discover the World in this fast-growing region.” 

Germano added: “After more than twenty years spent in the travel and airline industries in Asia I am excited to join this fantastic sales organization and leverage my experience in the region to let more partners discover how effectively we can help them grow across the world!”

Germano began his career in the travel industry as China Country Director for Italcamel, a leading Italian DMC, and, after earning his MBA in Madrid, he later worked for Air China’s Corporate Sales Department and Amex-GBT as China’s Head of Sales. In 2017 he become Etihad Airways China’s GM. During his time at Etihad he also held the positions of North Asia General Manager and North Asia Vice President of Sales.
