Changes to Discover’s Greece & Cyprus Operation

Posted: Dec 04, 2023

We are happy and at the same time sad, to announce that after more than 33 years of outstanding contributions to Discover, that Dino Frantzeskakis has decide to retire as head of Discover Greece.

Dino established Discover Greece in July, 1992 and throughout his tenure has been an influential member of our global network as well as providing exemplary sales and support services to the Greek travel industry on behalf of our clients.  This was highlighted when Dino won Discover’s coveted Director of the Year Award in 2003.

Dino’s commitment to our mission, vision and values has reached far and wide throughout Discover’s world and beyond.  We will always reflect on his time with Discover with fondness and gratitude and sincerely wish Dino a much deserved, happy retirement!

Discover’s new Greece & Cyprus operation will be based in central Athens under the guidance of Dimitris Karagkioules.  Dimitris brings a wealth of experience to Discover, latterly as Country Manager for Etihad, where he won the GM of the Year award in 2014, as well as stints with United Airlines and Delta. Dimitris will lead a team providing sales and support services across our much valued client base which includes:

  • Aeromexico
  • Air Malta
  • Air New Zealand
  • Air Transat
  • Condor
  • GOL
  • Royal Brunei
